Getting the books to you
Right now, every Samy & Bela book is sold through Amazon. That means Amazon handles the shipping, the tracking and the returns, wherever in the world you are. Here is what that looks like.
Where your books come from
When you tap Buy on any book here, you go to Amazon and buy from them directly. We do not take your payment, hold your address or pack your parcel. Amazon does all of it.
Your books are printed in the Amazon facility closest to you, so a reader in Sydney gets a copy printed in Australia and a reader in Texas gets one printed in the United States. It keeps the wait short and the shipping cost down.
How long it takes
Delivery times and costs are set by Amazon and depend on where you are and which delivery option you pick at checkout. Amazon shows you the estimate before you pay, and that estimate is the one to trust.
Prime members usually get free delivery on our paperbacks. Everyone else pays Amazon’s standard rate for their country.
Once your order is placed, tracking lives in your Amazon account under Your Orders. We cannot see your order or look up where a parcel is, so Amazon is the fastest place to check.
Reading on a phone or tablet
Kindle editions download straight away, anywhere in the world, with nothing to ship and nothing to wait for. You do not need a Kindle device. The free Kindle app works on any phone or tablet.
This is the quickest way to get a book to anyone in the islands, and it costs a fraction of the paperback.
We know this is the hard one. Amazon’s shipping to Fiji and the wider Pacific is expensive, slow, and for some countries not offered at all. It is the most common thing people write to us about.
For now, Kindle is the way. It downloads anywhere and arrives in seconds.
We are working on local stock in Fiji, along with the premium hardcover editions. Join the list and we will tell you the day they land.
If something is not right
Because Amazon sells and ships the books, returns and refunds go through them. You can start a return from Your Orders in your Amazon account, and their returns policy and time limits apply.
If a book turns up damaged, misprinted, or with pages out of order, Amazon will replace it. That is a printing fault on their end and they handle it without any fuss.
Kindle purchases can be returned through Amazon too, though the window is much shorter than it is for print. Their help pages have the current terms.
Even when Amazon sorts out a problem, we would like to hear about it. If a book arrives damaged or something looks wrong with the printing, send us a photo at bula@samyandbela.com. It helps us keep an eye on print quality across different countries, and we cannot check that on our own.
