Hi, I’m Kritika.
For fifteen years I’ve built brands across the Pacific. But the story that mattered most was happening at home, at bedtime.
I watched my two fall in love with characters from faraway places. Beautiful stories, full of magic. Just never full of us.
Snow. Castles. Big cities. Worlds that looked nothing like the one outside our door. So I went looking for books that felt close to my children. Our village paths. Our sea. Our Bubu. Our mix of cultures and ordinary island days.
There wasn’t enough. So I decided to make one.
Samy & Bela is a Fiji-born Pacific children’s world where our kids aren’t added in later. They’re at the center from the very first page.
A world where an I-Taukei boy and an Indo-Fijian girl are best friends. Where Bubu carries the wisdom. Where Chicky causes the trouble. Where home isn’t the background. It’s the whole heart of the story.
Everything we make is created with love, care by pacific people.
